A midlands local authority has rejected proposed revisions to the canal bylaws.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Waterways Ireland has presented its suggestions to Minister for Heritage, Darragh O’Brien, which Offaly County Council disagrees with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposed revisions include in-water inspections and insurance for boats, an annual registration process and speed limits for bicycles and scooters on the Greenways and Blueways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
